The Position: Flash Designer for High Profile Music Account The Creative Department is looking for a Flash designer with experience over various interactive platforms who is comfortable communicating with a wide range of people.

Skills: Candidates should have the following skills:

Technical

*Intermediate Flash animation, design and Actionscript

*Ability to design a wide array of interactive experiences ranging from banners to rich media

*Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

*Knowledge in HTML and CSS

*Knowledge of current interactive technologies

General

*Excellent communication skills

*Must be able to function independently and still work well in a “team oriented” environment

*Ability to clearly articulate design concepts and themes

*Must have excellent problem solving skills and love technical challenges

*Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task

*Graphic design background is a plus

*Passion for music is a plus

Flash Designer

Emmis Interactive (www.emmisinteractive.com) is seeking a Flash Designer who can hit the ground running in a high-volume environment with rapid turnaround times. Emmis Interactive services some of the top media outlets in the country, including the two biggest Hip Hop stations in America Hot97 (New York) and Power106 (Los Angeles), as well as Chicago’s top Rock stations, Q101 and The Loop. In addition, we design and produce interactive projects for many top name brands. Most recently, we’ve completed interactive design work Puma, Ford, Brand Jordan and Fox Television.

Requirements:

Qualified candidates are self-motivated, possess both graphic design and Flash experience, and have a hip design sensibility. A love for layout, type treatment, information design, problem solving and user interaction is a must.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with Flash, Actionscript, Photoshop, Illustrator, & basic HTML. Proficiency and experience with Actionscript is necessary, but candidates should be able to exhibit visual design skill in tandem with animation and Actionscript programming.
